They say God is energy.
Does energy stand by your side as you are bent over with pain and whisper strength and comfort into your being? Does energy protect you like a big brother defends his baby sis? Does energy show you the meaning of sacrifice and care by personal example?
You may say love is an energy. What energy is there when the body and mind give up and cannot stand to face reason, and yet the heart pours forth sacrificial service?
Where is energy when every fibre screams revenge for the one who stole everything, yet the spirit weeps forgiveness and mercy?
Energy is the warm rays of the sun. Energy exists, dances, in that ball of fire we depend upon for earthly sustenance. Is the sun nothing more than energy? Or is energy all-sufficient?
If God is energy, simply a force, how could He have chosen to step down out of heavenly glory into earth with its tainted grandeur, to redeem?
He chose. He willed. He acted. He gave up His life, surrendered all life force.
And yet, because of the Spirit – the energy that supersedes every other, the power that is superlative to all, the Person who is Life itself – God rose to life, as a human who had won over death, and as Lord of all creation, forevermore.
God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:24 NIV
Half-truths cannot hold a candle to the Truth. Dig deeper. God has revealed His face.
“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him…” Colossians 1:13-16 KJV
